Luciana Legacy 1st Annual Golf Outing
We are so proud to share that we had a very successful first annual golf outing for Luciana's Legacy! It took place Saturday, August 12th, 2023. We had a huge turnout and were overwhelmed with the amount of support and donations we received. We had a course full of golfers who made the day so much fun despite a few rain showers. We even had a hole in one by one of the golfers! We hope everyone who attended had a great time. With the funds raised at the outing, we will be able to help so many incredible families in the future. We are so very grateful! Wheelchair Donation
Anyone who was lucky enough to know our Luciana knows how much she loved swimming and being in the water. During the summer, she would spend just about every day either in her hot tub pool or in her grandparent’s pool. She was always smiling in the water. But there was something just a few minutes away she never got to enjoy. We know Luciana would have loved the Dodge Park Splash Pad, however, there was never anything there that would make her able to enjoy it.
On June 15th, 2023, we were honored to make the first large donation from the foundation in the form of a fully inclusive waterproof adaptive pool wheelchair for the splash pad. This chair is donated with the hope that every child, no matter their abilities, can enjoy the splash pad. We were also lucky enough to have Jenn Schanz with WXYZ-TV Channel 7 with us today covering our story.
Luciana’s Legacy Children’s Foundation, along with Sterling Heights Parks & Recreation, hope her legacy will live on through this chair and give other families the joy and opportunity to enjoy the Splash Pad like Luciana would have loved to.

Luciana Mini Photo Session
A Mother's Day Mini Photo Session took place with Reese Oliver Photography May 12th - 14th. It was a massive success with over 50 slots full for photos and $3,610 raised! Reese went above and beyond for the foundation and everyone who was photographed. We have enjoyed seeing everyone's photos from the weekend! Reese even created some magic and took very special photos for Luciana's family. Enjoy the video below of just SOME of the incredible photos taken by Reese over the weekend.

Classic Family Grill Fundraiser
We had an incredible turn out for our very first fundraising event at Classic Family Grill on Wednesday, April 19th. Thank you so much to all who came to dine in and ordered carry out! Happy Birthday Luciana, 2023
Luciana's 7th birthday would have been on March 2nd, 2023. Unfortunately, this would be the first birthday that she would not be here on Earth to celebrate. We decided to travel to her favorite place, Walt Disney World, to celebrate her. We spent her birthday in Magic Kingdom with her grandparents, Kerry and Sheryl, and cousins, Dominic and Wendy. We did all of her favorite rides, watched the parade, met characters, blew out a birthday candle for her, and watched the fireworks. Additionally, we spread many "Random Acts of Kindness" around the park in her honor. We had cards attached to the items with her name, photo, and foundation information. We handed out Disney gift cards, Mickey keychains, princess pezz dispensers, Minnie Mouse ears, and 7 balloons to random strangers throughout the day. It felt so good to celebrate her in a way that made so many others smile. We got lots of hugs and made so many other park-goers days that day.
On top of our Disney Random Acts of Kindness, we had no idea that there was a much larger Act of Kindness going on in her honor. Organized by a family friend the hashtag #happybirthdayluciana was born and it quickly spread far and wide. There were Random Acts of Kindness taking place in her honor for her birthday throughout the entire month prior, and many still going on. You can search the hashtag "happybirthdayluciana" on Facebook and Instagram to get a glimpse of what our friends and family had been doing without us knowing.

Moonbeams For Sweet Dreams - 2022
What is Moonbeams for Sweet Dreams?
This cherished tradition started in 2017 by Beaumont Children’s nurses and child life specialists as a way of helping Beaumont’s youngest and bravest patients feel connected to their community during the holiday season.
Each December, community members from across Southeast Michigan visit the Beaumont, Royal Oak campus at approximately 8 p.m. to shine flashlights to remind pediatric patients they aren’t alone and wish them sweet dreams.
